Friday 2/5:Wear Red Day & School Dance /  Intramural Volleyball begins on Tuesday, Feb 23. Deadline for permission slips is Friday, 2/12
On August 26, 2009, seventh grade student mentors will meet at the Junior High School to discuss the opening of school. These mentors were chosen because of their leadership and social skills. Each student mentor was recommended by a team of teachers who were looking for those who possessed skills necessary to be positive role models while assisting others.

The Student Mentoring program is a program designed to assist incoming sixth graders throughout the school year. Mentors meet with assigned groups of sixth graders every few weeks during homeroom to answer questions and make the students feel comfortable in the building.

For sixth graders who are new to the Junior High School, this is an opportunity for them to have some familiar faces to go to with questions and issues that may come up during the school day. Often, students feel more comfortable going to a peer, rather than a staff member to discuss issues such as locks, schedules, and after-school activities.

Hopefully, this program will continue in future years as young students enter the building.
